So how does it work with wearing more then one brand at once?

So, is it considered dorky to wear more then one brand labeled clothing at once....like wearing American Eagle and Aeropostale in one outfit? What about mixing preppy brands like AE with surfer brands like Roxy? Are you a label if you were more then one piece of clothing with the same label at once?
